Glistening Blue Lips
This colorized photo is actually a tinted still from the 1st rock video album ever produced entirely by a rock musician - the* Marshall Barnes' The Last Communication. Produced in 1980, it was billed as a video space rock symnphony upon which Marshall played all of the instruments except the drums on 1 track, performed by Steve Clark, created all of the aimated video footage, produced, directed and shot all of the video footage, and wrote and composed all of the music. The first example of the* Marshall's explosive talent.
The Celestials
This sci-fi surrealistic work is the product of the * Marshall Barnes' knack for being able to combine the capabilities of several technologies to produce something uniquely original and impossible any other way.
Sabaendora
One of the* Marshall Barnes' explorations of the female visage through lens of psychedelic awareness as opposed to romantic interest or erotic awareness. A sizzling item when seen with red/blue 3D glasses.
Cert Smashed Through Melted Crayolas On Black
Exhiting yet another facet of his artitistic abilities, the* Marshall Barnes creates a work that looks "hard" and with a form as well as having 3D aspects. Radicaly different from other works, it does appear to be a Cert mint pushed through melted crayons.
View Through The Delusion Of Adolph
This visit into the more Twilight Zone of the* Marshall's work, if you were wondering about the "Adolph" in the title, look carefully and it would appear someone has made an impromptu appearance in the visual mix, as opposed to being the featured subject in a punk song by his friends, Screaming Urge. A twisted version of "Where's Waldo"...
Nieman Illustrating Mallett Test
"Nieman Illustrating Mallett Test" is a brief excursion on that quest of the* Marshall Barnes to find art in the documentation of science. In this case, the science is the set of a test proving the missed opportunities to prove a significant breakthrough that lay unrecognized by Ronald Mallett in his geometry for creating gravitational effects from a laser configuration.
It's Not Safe In The Court Of The Velvet King
Sometimes the* Marshall Barnes exercises a subtle sense of humor that requires a certain knowledge base to recognize the proper frame of reference, and so it is with this bizarre piece of photography with in a digital colorizer. However, fans of '70s prog rock may have an edge on being able to recognize the clue in the title and get the joke in what the image on the cover recalls.
Pretty Girl Pink
Pretty Girl Pink, is an exercise in cross media exploitation. A processed video still from the psychoactive music video, Trigger Girl, it photographically extends one of its video effects beyond the surface, the holopraphic reality seen here as the faint white splash outside the frame which adds depth to the image when viewed through red/blue 3D glasses. Pretty Girl Pink is a perfect example of the creative technical versatility of the* Marshall Barnes' brilliant mind.
Standing At The Gate
Recalling something like a scene from the iconic Stargate SG-1 TV show, Standing At The Gate is a colorized and computer composite video still that opens another dimension when viewed with red/blue 3D glasses.
Fade Proof Water Color
In this piece the* Marshall Barnes explores the expression of impressionistic and suggestive nature of color, shapes and composition and nothing else. It is what it is and what is is totally subjective, allowing to just decide how it makes you feel. A faded water color that's only pretening to be that and never had to have been wet to do so.
